Romeu and Juliet @ Royal Opera House

Located in Covent Garden, the Royal Opera House is without a doubt one of the experiences you should not miss in London. With roots that go back nearly 300 years, it became one of the most important performing arts venue in the UK and the home of the the Royal Opera, the Royal Ballet and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.
This week I had the chance to see Romeu and Juliet performed by the Royal Ballet. It was an excellent experience. Not only does it take part in a breath taking venue as the ROH,  it is also performed by a magnificent ballet company and an amazing orchestra. On top of that, and not to be forgotten, the performance of one of the best ballet dancers in the world - Carlos Acosta.
Overall, a highly recommended event and venue!

Say hello, wave goodbye

Some people just enter you life like a storm and in seconds you almost forget how life was before. The cumplicity is so strong that it feels as they have always been there. These are the people that have the power to change your life, make you move forward, make you want to go one step further and be a better person. And, just like a storm, they never stay long enough. How do you say goodbye? How do you let go?

Blessings in disguise

So many times in life, we feel disappointed for all the things that did not happen. Truth is, sometimes the doors that close just in front of us can be blessings in disguise. Today I found myself grateful for all those doors shut in the past, for they led me to consider options that I would not have considered otherwise. And ultimately, they led me just where I am right now, which is exactly the place where I feel I belong.  So, for all those who closed those doors, Thank You for giving me the chance of taking my time to open the right door for me.

Sometimes life challenges you and pushes you out of your confort zone. Will you live up to the challenge?

Are you feeling strong enough to play along?

Be brave and go for it! You might just find out, that life gives you second chances and helps you find your way back to happiness, when you are willing to give it a shot.

When in Rome, be a roman. When in Cambridge...go PUNTING!

Taking advantage of the late, late indian summer in London and wanting to make the most out of the sunny weekend, we decided to go punting. We all took turns as the punter and surprisingly enough, no one fell on the water while taking a chance on it. It is rather easy to do it, although it requires some strength to punt a long way.

A punt is a flat-bottomed boat, designed for use in small rivers or other shallow water. The punter generally propels the punt by pushing against the river bed with a pole. Punts are actually pretty similar to gondolas, the main difference being that a gondola is propelled by an oar instead of a pole.
Punting in Cambridge was introduced in the early 1900's and it rapidly became the most popular craft in the river. Today it is a popular leisure activity on the british rivers and the crowd punting along the old colleges in Cambridge is so big that in peak times, punting may well be a tough challenge.

This is definitely an experience to go for. Invite a group of friends, bring some drinks and enjoy the wonderful views of the Cambridge University.
